Industrial Electromechanical Maintenance Mechanic

Your day, simplified

You start by walking the floor, performing preventive maintenance that keeps machines smooth, building systems efficient, and facilities in top shape. You inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, and swap filters using clear checklists. Throughout the day, you capture every repair and adjustment in the maintenance work order system, keeping a precise history of what was done and why.

When production calls, you diagnose complex mechanical issues on industrial equipment, referencing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to chart the shortest path to a reliable fix. You assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, and production machinery. You’ll align and balance newly installed equipment and verify performance. When metal needs to be joined or cut, you confidently use cutting torches or welding equipment. You also set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools—then verify dimensional changes on used parts with rulers, calipers, and micrometers. All the while, you keep the critical parts inventory healthy so downtime stays minimal.

Your toolkit spans from common hand and power tools—hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches—to precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices. Between work orders, you lend a hand to facility upkeep: painting and repairing roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, and drywall to keep the environment safe and presentable.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years as a well-rounded maintenance technician troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical industrial equipment.
• 3+ years handling complex troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and use measurement tools accurately.
• Solid knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Commitment to wearing and using the appropriate safety gear for each task.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.

• Execute routine preventive maintenance to ensure machine reliability, building system efficiency, and overall facility condition.
• Document all repairs and adjustments in the maintenance work order system.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and complete other checklist-driven tasks.
• Maintain a stocked and organized critical parts inventory.
• Use hand/power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical/electronic test equipment to diagnose and repair.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring; electrical/electronic components; pipe systems and plumbing; machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and plan corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Plan and lay out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematics.
• Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
• Align and balance new equipment after installation.
• Inspect used parts to determine dimensional changes using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and related gauges.
• Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
• Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other structural elements.
