We are seeking an Outdoor Dining Host / Hostess to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort.

Role Summary:

The Outdoor Dining Host/Hostess will courteously greet and escort guests to tables and assist in seating, ensuring the hotel's standards of service. Additional responsibilities will include assisting in preparing the restaurant for service and maintaining the cleanliness of the space(s) at all times; taking reservations and maintaining reservation book; assisting in monitoring the guests' needs and all phases of the operation. This role may assume total responsibility when Manager is not present.

We have a full-time position available. This role is a flexible position (AM / PM) and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights.

Essential Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate with proper grammar in English.
• Ability to provide legible communication.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• 0-1 years’ experience in similar position dealing with the general public.

• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous.
• Ability to promote positive relations with all individuals who approach the restaurant and by telephone.
• Ability to exercise good judgment with difficult guests.
• Ability to think clearly, quickly, maintain concentration and make concise decisions in pressure situations.

• Ability to focus attention of details.
• Ability to suggestively sell selected food and beverage items.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
• Ability to provide clear, pleasant telephone communication with proper grammar.
• Ability to remain stationary at assigned post when specified.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Ability to relay instructions, delegate work and follow up.
• Ability to lift or pull up to 20+lbs.
