Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.

We are seeking to hire a Medical/Healthcare Program Analyst who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.

This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-based work environment.

This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Quality.

Medicaid Quality provides data-driven, focused and systematic feedback on the quality of Florida’s Medicaid program to federal and state agencies, Medicaid recipients, Medicaid managed care plans, and providers.

The Bureau of Medicaid Quality has a strong focus on providing more comprehensive care, improving health outcomes, and reducing costs.

This position is responsible for developing monitoring tools as well as processing and reporting tools for Medicaid services to ensure compliance with federal regulations, statutes, administrative rules, the Florida Medicaid State Plan, contract requirements, and policies and procedures.

The position will be required to maintain up-to-date knowledge on the Florida Medicaid program including pertinent federal regulations, state statutes, administrative rules, and program guidelines.

This position is not a remote or telework position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of managed care, health care management programs and Medicaid.

• Ability to utilize communication skills and problem-solving techniques.

• Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to health services.

• Ability to coordinate the planning and implementation of Medicaid program monitoring reviews.

• Ability to collect and analyze data, clearly write, edit and develop descriptive reports, demonstrate fluency in using Excel and other software tools from Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to design, develop and implement various quality research models.

• Ability to effectively communicate in writing including descriptions of policies and procedures.

• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and coordinate competing work activities.

• Ability to effectively design and edit Excel spreadsheets, tables, and graphs.

• Ability to coordinate, manage and train peers on the implementation of evaluation tools.

• Ability to travel with or without accommodations.

BACKGROUND SCREENING
