Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing outpatient care to GI and Hepatology patients at Uhealth Doral and/or Sol Mi in North Miami. The position involves approximately 9 half-days per week. Sol Mi is opening in Fall 2025. The physician will provide outpatient clinical and endoscopic services, including Gastroenterology screening procedures, to patients requiring these services.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining outpatient clinics and performing endoscopic procedures at Uhealth Doral and Sol Mi
• Rotating on night and weekend on-call duties at UHT and JMH, proportionate to other physicians
• Rotating on inpatient services at UHT or JMH, proportionate to other providers

Qualifications:

• MD Degree with ACGME-accredited internal medicine internship and residency, and GI fellowship
• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or eligible)
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology/Hepatology (or eligible)
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligibility to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
• Valid DEA licensure
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Must be able to provide procedure case logs for the past two years for credentialing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
• Maintain CME credits to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
• Excellent clinical knowledge and experience to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Ability to manage close encounters within 72 hours
