However in Pediatrics, PRN stays busy.
Due to extremely high patient volume , most PRN Customer Service Representatives:

  • Typically work 34 shifts per week

  • Have frequent opportunities to pick up shifts

  • Gain consistent experience while still maintaining flexibility

Travel Requirement (VERY IMPORTANT)

This is a multi-location PRN role. You will not be assigned to just one office.

Candidates must be comfortable traveling to ALL of the following pediatric locations as needed:

  • Golisano Pediatrics Cape Coral Hospital

  • Golisano Pediatrics Franklin Park

  • Golisano Pediatrics Harbor Blvd.

  • Golisano Pediatrics Lehigh Acres

  • Golisano Pediatrics Page Field

  • Golisano Pediatric Primary Care Bimini Square

  • Golisano Pediatrics Bayshore Road

Availability Expectations

To support a high-volume pediatric practice , candidates must:

  • Be available for weekday, evening, AND weekend shifts

  • Have open and flexible availability

  • Be ready to support call-outs, vacations, and busy clinic days

Schedules will vary week to week based on patient demand and staffing needs.

What Youll Do

  • Welcome and assist pediatric patients and families

  • Schedule appointments and manage front desk workflow

  • Answer phones and respond to patient questions

  • Perform check-in/check-out and verify insurance

  • Assist with authorizations, referrals, and billing support

  • Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR

  • Support clinic teams in a fast-paced, team-based environment

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire (may be required sooner depending on location)

Other:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Computer/EMR proficiency

  • Basic math and insurance knowledge helpful

The Customer Service Representative position is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a team based environment for all aspects of patient business activity within the Practice/Department. Responsibilities include handling telephones, patient appointment scheduling, patient check-in, insurance verification, authorization, pre-certifications, referrals, and posting charges, initial collections, preparing well-coded and accurate billing and maintenance of medical records. Depending on the specific Practice/Department needs, this position may be required to manage the business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, employee health and corporate accounts. Late hours, holidays and weekends may be required. Other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor of the department.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED Required.

Experience: Less than 1 Year Clerical/Administrative required. Insurance/Customer Service preferred.

Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required in Employee Health and may also be required at other locations within 90 days of hire.

License: N/A

Other: Requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, IT/computer proficient, basic math, knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful.
