Role focus

• Lead maintenance and upgrade execution during planned and unplanned outages at fossil power plants.
• Bridge mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines to deliver safe, high-quality results.

Project facts

• Location: Loxahatchee, FL
• Duration: 3 months (extension possible)
• Per Diem: Offered to qualified candidates

What you will do

• Align daily with outage management, contractors, and engineers to keep work on plan.
• Review work scopes, drawings, and schedules; confirm shared understanding of requirements.
• Oversee contractor activities across turbines, boilers/HRSG, piping, and auxiliary/structural work.
• Log progress, delays, change notes, and configuration adjustments with precision.
• Drive adherence to safety procedures and quality criteria throughout execution.

Experience that stands out

Mechanical

• Supervision of steam/combustion turbine, HRSG, boiler, or valve maintenance.
• Balance of Plant (BOP) familiarity.
• P91 welding background.

Electrical

• Oversight of generator, exciter, and auxiliary electrical equipment maintenance.
• 1+ years as an Electrical Supervisor/Superintendent.
• Working knowledge of grounding, medium/low voltage, transformers, and P&ID interpretation.

Instrumentation & Control (I&C)

• Calibration, testing, and tuning of control systems.
• Hands-on field work with DCS (GE Mark V/VI, Ovation).
• DCS commissioning and startup.
• Ability to interpret P&ID, electrical, and mechanical drawings.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• 2+ years in outage coordination or power plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
