**Job Summary:**

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Aides/Medication Technicians (Med Techs) to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents and patients in [nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or specified healthcare settings]. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications as prescribed, and ensure the highest quality of care and comfort for our residents.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist residents/patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.

- Administer medications under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring accurate dosages and adherence to prescribed schedules.

- Monitor residents’ health status by observing changes in behavior, physical condition, and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to the appropriate healthcare personnel.

- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and medications administered in accordance with facility protocols.

- Support residents’ dignity and respect their autonomy while providing personal care and assistance.

- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.

- Engage residents in meaningful activities that enhance social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being.

- Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident living areas, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment.

- Assist with light housekeeping duties related to residents’ care areas, including laundry and tidying up.

- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education programs as required.

**Qualifications:**

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or related fields is a plus.

- Valid certification as a Medication Technician or a comparable state certification.

- Previous experience in a caregiving role within a healthcare setting (nursing home, assisted living, hospital) preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, their families, and team members.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, managing tasks and priorities.

- Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.

- Compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others.

- Flexible availability, including the willingness to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.

**Physical Requirements:**

- Must be able to lift, transfer, and reposition residents as needed, utilizing proper body mechanics.

- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.

- Must be able to grip and manipulate equipment used in providing care.
