Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with a strong interest in the care and management of patients with sickle cell disease. This full-time, employed opportunity is with the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group and involves collaboration with a board-certified hematologist serving as the Medical Director of a dedicated sickle cell medical home.

Position Highlights

• Primary focus on the clinical management of adults with sickle cell disease
• Expertise in outpatient pain management for sickle cell disease
• Opportunity to join a comprehensive, multidisciplinary care team including a social worker, pharmacist, wellness coach, and dedicated nurses
• Access to outpatient hematology clinics, infusion/day hospital services, and embedded primary care
• Access to apheresis and transfusion services
• Collaboration with a board-certified hematologist medical director and advanced practice providers dedicated to adult sickle cell care
• Strong collaboration with Memorial's pediatric hematology team
• Partnership with Memorial Cancer Institute and Moffitt Cancer Center
• Participation in the American Society of Hematology Sickle Cell Workshops and the National Alliance of Sickle Cell Centers
