The Network Engineer is responsible overseeing the workflow involved in maintaining the enterprise network. They are responsible for designing and implementing the company’s and its client’s network infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues, and managing the junior network engineering staff. The Network Engineer ensures the networking performs exceptionally and maintains the stability and performance of the network.

What you’ll be doing.

• Collaborating with network architects to design and implement functional company networks.


• Installing and configuring networking hardware for our company and clients.


• Creating and implementing network security measure for our clients.


• Managing and mentoring junior techs as needed.


• Conducting regular network performance tests for company and clients.


• Delegating networking maintenance tasks to junior tech staff.


• Dealing with escalated network support issues for our clients.


• Drawing up network status reports.


• Deep Dives on complex issue for clients


• Drive Development & Execution Solutions to complex issues


• Initiate and lead deep dives on complex issues for clients


• Prioritize & select alternative solutions for our clients


• Solve our client’s problems


• Shows interest to understand how complex systems and processes work


• Knows the basics of troubleshooting and maintaining basic devices and machines


• Through Collaboration with business partners - Design, develop, and implement governance structure/Methodology


• Attempts to use logical reasoning in making decisions and solving problems


• Judgment is generally sound and reasonable; Decisions are well thought out


• Exhibits a high degree of decision-Making ability


• Effectively analyzes problems and formulates practical solutions

What does it take to succeed in this role?

• Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including CISCO, JUNOS, and IOS


• Knowledge of networking hardware including CPUs, wiring, and routers.


• Familiarity with communication and routing protocols.


• Familiarity with network analysis tools including SolarWind.


• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.

What are desirables?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.


• Previous work experience as a networking engineer.


• Proficiency with coding languages including Python and Perl.


• High level problem-solving and communication skills.

This is a remote position based in the United States.
