Position summary
Working under indirect supervision, this position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The individual has primary responsibility for the operation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of facility utility and complex process equipment, as well as teaching less experienced technicians. This role may supervise the work of outside contractors when needed and requires general supervision from the Maintenance Supervisor.

In addition to the responsibilities of a Craftsperson Manufacturing Maintenance, the Craftsperson Lead will also provide coordination and leadership support across assigned functions.

Shift:

• A2, Sunday-Tuesday every other Wednesday. 6:00pm-6:00am

• Ability to work a non-standard schedule as needed

• On-call hours as required

• Regular and predictable on-site attendance

Responsibilities: essential duties

• Assists the Supervisor in leading a group of peers and/or subordinates, primarily focused on coordination of work which may include materials loading, production functions, maintenance functions, and training/mentoring
• Provides support across different organizational levels as needed
• Performs core job functions in area of expertise as required

• Applies intermediate working knowledge of technical field or area of specialization
• Exercises general application of principles, theories, and concepts, and proposes appropriate courses of action
• Demonstrates intermediate shop floor competencies
• Exercises limited judgment in resolving problems
• Works under general supervision and may assist in orienting, training, assigning, and reviewing the work of peers
• Interacts primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers, with occasional interaction with external contractors or vendors

Expertise: qualifications experience / training / education

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of related experience OR completion of PBS requirements and passing assessment at the appropriate level

Preferred

• Applicable industry or professional certification

Salary Range: $28.33-$36.38 /Hour

The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
