Position Overview

As a Seakeeper Installation & Service Technician , you will perform both installation and service work on Seakeeper and Seakeeper Ride systems. This includes foundation work, plumbing, electrical wiring, diagnostics, repairs, commissioning, and customer support.

This role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in engine rooms and confined marine spaces while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

You will play a critical role in ensuring vessels are delivered back to customers in better condition than when received.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Installation & Commissioning

  • Install Seakeeper and Seakeeper Ride units following factory and company SOPs
  • Perform foundation fabrication, plumbing, wiring, system integration, testing, and commissioning
  • Develop and execute job plans prior to installation
  • Read and create basic wiring diagrams and schematics
  • Identify potential challenges and proactively communicate with management
  • Secure customer sign-offs and manage change orders
  • Provide completion walk-through videos

🔹 Service, Diagnostics & Repair

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot Seakeeper systems
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs
  • Complete accurate inspection, diagnostic, and service reports
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and technical resources
  • Ensure all service documentation is completed before leaving job sites

🔹 Daily Operations & Communication

  • Monitor email, phone, and timekeeping systems daily
  • Follow schedules and management direction precisely
  • Provide end-of-day and end-of-week updates
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety of vessels, job sites, tools, and vehicles
  • Ensure boats are returned cleaner and in better condition than received

  • Represent Tri Sea Stabilizers with professionalism and courtesy
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with customers
  • Promote a positive, calm, and team-oriented work environment
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and chain of command
  • Report safety concerns or policy deviations (“See something, say something”)
  • Maintain a well-groomed appearance per company standards

🔹 Additional Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicles and equipment safely in compliance with OSHA standards
  • Stay current on new products, technical bulletins, and training
  • Assist with shop maintenance, hurricane preparation, and operational needs
  • Cross-train in Installation, Service, Ride Installation, Detailing, Parts, Sales, and Event Coverage

What You Need to Succeed

  • Comfortable working in confined marine spaces

  • Comfortable communicating via laptop and mobile devices

✔ Qualifications

  • Valid and clean driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs without restrictions
  • Marine service, mechanical, electrical, or related technical experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% annually

Compensation is based on marine industry experience, Seakeeper-specific training, technical knowledge, and performance.
