Mission
We’re seeking a Payroll & Compliance Specialist to take ownership of all U.S. payroll operations and ensure full compliance with state and federal tax laws. This role will be based in our Miami office and will be instrumental in strengthening our finance infrastructure as we continue to scale. You’ll manage end-to-end payroll for our growing U.S. team, oversee tax filings & multi-state compliance, and oversee bookkeeping & billing to make sure financial compliance to serve as the primary liaison between our U.S. operations and global finance team in Israel. The ideal candidate will combine hands-on execution with strategic insight, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across our U.S. financial operations.
Responsibilities-
Payroll & Compliance:
- Stay up to date with evolving tax and labor regulations to ensure proactive compliance.
 - Act as the go-to subject matter expert for payroll audits, compliance reviews, and year-end reporting.
 - Handle U.S. sales tax compliance end-to-end, including registrations, return preparation, and monthly reconciliations .
 - Fully own and process semi-monthly payroll for 100+ U.S.-based employees in Rippling.
 - Manage all multi-state payroll setups, tax registrations, and compliance requirements.
 - Handle all payroll-related filings (federal, state, local), including W-2s and 1099s.
 - Maintain employee compensation records, benefits, deductions, PTO, and 401(k).
 - Post payroll journal entries in NetSuite and ensure audit-ready documentation.
 - Assist with preparing tax return data and documentation for external advisors, ensuring completeness and compliance.
 
Finance Operations & Billing:
- Support resolution of billing discrepancies or financial cases requiring professional judgment.
 - Track and reconcile Ramp card expenses, ensuring timely and accurate classification.
 - Support monthly closes, audits, and reconciliations with our global finance team.
 - Maintain audit-ready financial records for all U.S. entitiesץ
 - Partner with the CX team to manage customer billing and refunds through Stripe Billing.
 
Strategic Contributions:
- Identify and resolve complex payroll and finance issues, proposing process improvements and efficiency opportunities.
 - Provide financial insights and recommendations that elevate the accuracy and compliance of U.S. operations.
 - Help design scalable finance processes as DoorLoop continues to expand.

Compensation will be discussed based on qualifications and experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of hands-on payroll management and accounting experience in the U.S.
 - Deep knowledge of U.S. tax law, payroll compliance, IRS requirements and multi-state payroll regulations.
 - Proficiency in payroll and finance systems (Preferably Rippling, NetSuite, Ramp,Stripe).
 - Proven experience preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
 - Excellent understanding of bookkeeping and expense management workflows.
 - Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently.
 - Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
 - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across U.S. and Israel teams.
 - CPA License
 - Prior experience working in SaaS or high-growth startup environments
 - Prior involvement with inter-company or cross-border finance processes.
 - Experience supporting global finance operations
