Marketing and Logistics Manager
The mission of our client is to be a worldwide, self-sustaining organization committed to enhancing the technology and safety of electronics used in marine applications and the profitability of its members, by:
- Providing effective leadership to its members
- Facilitating communication between members and various constituent groups
- Encouraging members to establish quality processes.
- Furthering the education of its members and various constituent groups
- Influencing the applicable legislative and regulatory processes
In this role the individual will be responsible for managing all marketing and logistics activities. This position will report directly to the President of the organization and will have no direct reports.
Responsibilities Include:
- Create content and manage marketing for the organization across all websites and social media platforms as recommended the President.
- Fast technical learner able to be trained on the following programs and web platforms that they Currently use.
- Weebly – website updates
- MC Trade- Membership management system
- Pro Profs- Online testing, surveys, voting
- GoToWebinar- Online training
- Hootsuite- social media
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Video Editing
- Promote sales of Membership, Standards and Training programs.
- Send monthly emails and social media posts promoting various offerings.
- Raise consumer awareness of the organization.
- Setup and breakdown of select in person training events.
- Setup and breakdown of Annual Conference
- Draft, prepare and distribute all Press Releases
- Work directly with Graphic designer for design of digital and print media.
- Design and order all wearables (hats, shirts) and promotional material.
- Write content for all Advertising, Brochures, Conference, and Standards materials.
- Oversee all logistics for Annual Conference
- Attend all marketing and conference committee meetings, as a non-voting member.
- Attend/work the exhibit booth/stand at specific trade shows.
- Collaborate and contribute to the partnering publication as needed.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Capturing and Editing Photo and Video content.
- Knowledge of digital advertising programs with Google, social media ads, and more
- Strong project management skills
Preferred Work Experience:
- Professional experience in Marine Electronics or Consumer Electronics industries.
- Experience developing successful integrated digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Prior experience with radio, television, direct marketing, telephone marketing, promotional items, wearables, email, social media, pay per click marketing, search engine marketing, and mobile marketing.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s or associate degree in marketing, Communications is preferred but not required.
Marine Electronics industry experience is required in lieu of degree.
Additional Position Factors:
This is full-time, salary position and work hours will vary with seasonality, meetings and events may be outside of traditional office hours.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience, 401k, Health Reimbursement
Travel:
Up to 40% annual travel as requested by President.
- 6 days required attendance at the annual conference.
