Accounts Payable Specialist
About the Role
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable work experience, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. This role involves processing vendor invoices, expense reports, and ACH payments, maintaining purchase order systems, and reconciling vendor accounts. Success in this position requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to communicate effectively with both colleagues and vendors. Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and prepare payments; resolve issues with vendors and departments.
- Audit expenditures for accuracy, proper coding, and authorization per Finance policy.
- Manage AP inbox, ensuring timely responses and task delegation.
- Coordinate expense approvals and ensure completion before reimbursement.
- Maintain accurate AP documentation and support internal training.
- Assist in onboarding new team members and implementing AP automation tools.
- Track and report on AP projects and initiatives.
- Work independently to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communicate clearly and maintain strong working relationships.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, AR software, and accounting systems (Expensify, Salesforce-Accounting Seed, QuickBooks preferred).
- Experience with AirTable or similar workflow/project tracking tools is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and prefer knowledge of cash basis accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, delivering accurate work.
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, during regular business hours. The hours of operation for TSG Support Services are consistent with the businesses we support—generally 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM—with flexibility within these hours to accommodate what works best for you. This is a full-time, in-person role. Required work through the year-end close annually. You will work in the office, and TSG Support Services will provide parking for you in a nearby parking garage.
