About the Job:

Apartment Community seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our property management team in Jacksonville, FL. Opportunities for growth are available to motivated individuals who are excited and willing to learn from an experienced supervisor.

Must have a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and appliance repair. EPA Required.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Ensure fast, friendly, and high-quality maintenance service for our residents.
• Assist and support in the required property maintenance necessary to maintain curb appeal and the overall appearance of the property.
• Complete work orders assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.
• Diagnose problems and repairs in the areas of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and appliances.
• Respond to all service requests, on-call emergencies as directed by the Community Manager and Maintenance Supervisor, must be completed in a timely and professional manner.
• Alert Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager of any potential liabilities or repairs.

Position Requirements:

• Must have experience working on HVAC and have an EPA Certification.
• Must have a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Experience with drywall repair is a plus.
• The use of problem-solving skills, common sense, and basic safety knowledge required.
• Ability to work independently and available to be on-call for responding to after-hour emergencies. (On-call convenience pay provided).
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Required experience:

• The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
