As we expand, we're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist to join our team and support our day-to-day financial operations.
Position Overview
The Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist will manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring accurate financial tracking and timely payments. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, small-business environment and is comfortable handling a variety of accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
· Process biweekly or monthly payroll using QuickBooks Online or other payroll systems.
· Track employee hours and manage wage adjustments, taxes, and payroll compliance.
· Manage accounts payable and receivable, including issuing invoices, collecting payments, and paying vendors.
· Prepare and remit monthly state tobacco-excise and sales-tax returns for multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate compliance with ever-changing regulations.
· Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and accounts.
· Maintain organized financial records and assist in month-end reporting.
· Prepare and issue 1099s/W-2s as needed
· Support HR department with tasks such as onboarding payroll paperwork and time-off tracking.
· Collaborate with leadership on budget tracking and vendor relations
Qualifications
· High School Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preffered.
· 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processing.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
· High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information.
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
· Experience in a product-based or small business environment is a plus.
· Bi-lingual preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
