This role is ideal for a content-driven storyteller who thrives both behind the camera and behind the screen. As a Social Media Specialist, you'll be responsible for capturing and sharing the impactful work we do installing flood barriers, combining field-based content creation with strategic digital execution to grow and engage our audience

You will typically spend:

• 3 days per week on job sites capturing video, photography, and behind-the-scenes content
• 2 days per week in the office editing, scheduling, publishing, and analyzing performance

Note: This schedule may vary based on project timelines, content needs, or special events. Flexibility is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute weekly social media content, including on-site video and photo shoots
• Capture high-quality, engaging content at job sites: project progress, employee spotlights, customer testimonials, and real-time updates
• Edit video and photo content using mobile apps or desktop software for use across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
• Write engaging captions and publish posts on a consistent, strategic schedule
• Create and manage a YouTube channel, including uploading and optimizing videos, writing descriptions, and maintaining playlists
• Monitor social platforms, engage with followers, and respond to messages and comments
• Track analytics, create reports, and make data-driven recommendations for growth
• Stay up to date on platform trends, tools, and best practices to keep content fresh and relevant

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, organization, or agency
• Strong photography and video production skills (including mobile content creation)
• Proficiency in editing tools like Adobe Premiere Rush, Canva, Lightroom, or similar
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills
• Comfortable working outdoors or on-site (e.g., construction sites, or similar environments)
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of social media metrics and performance tracking
