JOB SUMMARY 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:Â
  • Performs assessment on various gas turbine components received for inspection by following written procedures, documents (blueprints, drawings, and specifications), and established practices 
  • Performs visual inspections as required 
  • Performs First Article Inspection Report inspections and maintains documentation 
  • Interfaces with engineering and order execution regarding recommendations for work instruction and router improvements 
  • Generates NCRs in QSI system 
  • Reviews job paperwork through entire inspection process to ensure completeness and conformity 
  • Utilizes precision measuring equipment as required for incoming assessment 
  • Operates small cranes to move equipment, parts, and material 
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area 
  • Following Environmental Health and Safety regulations while working in fast pace environment. 
  • Performing waste handling in accordance to EHS procedures & legal requirements, such as: 
  • Segregating waste generated 
  • Placing hazardous and non-hazardous waste in appropriate containers 
  • Maintaining waste containers closed and in good condition 
  • Labeling waste containers with appropriate hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste labels 
  • Marking the start accumulation date to hazardous waste label once the container in the satellite accumulation area becomes full. 
  • Arranging internal waste transfer to central accumulation area 
  • Contain and clean up area incidental spills 
  • Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

Education & TrainingÂ
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalentÂ
  • Complete Specific on-the-job training towards meeting essential duties and work area performance criteria.Â
  • Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by the companies EHS Training Matrix, which includes: Â
  • Initial and annual Hazardous Waste Management training.
Skills/ExperienceÂ
  • 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environmentÂ
  • Experience with interpretation of technical drawings or work instructionsÂ
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, and time keeping applicationsÂ
  • Must be detail orientatedÂ
Physical RequirementsÂ
  • Stooping/Crouching. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Â
  • Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.Â
  • Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.Â
  • Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Â
  • Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of timeÂ
  • Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work area to another.Â
  • Pushing & PullingÂ
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.Â
  • Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.Â
  • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Â
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.Â
  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.Â
  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.Â
  • May require travel (air & ground) with short notice.Â
  • Being able to wear required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as respirators, Tyvek suit, gloves, face shield, etc.Â
  • Ability to cooperate and work with peopleÂ
