Production Inspector - 1st shift
- Performs assessment on various gas turbine components received for inspection by following written procedures, documents (blueprints, drawings, and specifications), and established practicesÂ
- Performs visual inspections as requiredÂ
- Performs First Article Inspection Report inspections and maintains documentationÂ
- Interfaces with engineering and order execution regarding recommendations for work instruction and router improvementsÂ
- Generates NCRs in QSI systemÂ
- Reviews job paperwork through entire inspection process to ensure completeness and conformityÂ
- Utilizes precision measuring equipment as required for incoming assessmentÂ
- Operates small cranes to move equipment, parts, and materialÂ
- Maintains a clean and orderly work areaÂ
- Following Environmental Health and Safety regulations while working in fast pace environment.Â
- Performing waste handling in accordance to EHS procedures & legal requirements, such as:Â
- Segregating waste generatedÂ
- Placing hazardous and non-hazardous waste in appropriate containersÂ
- Maintaining waste containers closed and in good conditionÂ
- Labeling waste containers with appropriate hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste labelsÂ
- Marking the start accumulation date to hazardous waste label once the container in the satellite accumulation area becomes full.Â
- Arranging internal waste transfer to central accumulation areaÂ
- Contain and clean up area incidental spillsÂ
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED equivalentÂ
- Complete Specific on-the-job training towards meeting essential duties and work area performance criteria.Â
- Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by the companies EHS Training Matrix, which includes: Â
- Initial and annual Hazardous Waste Management training.
- 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environmentÂ
- Experience with interpretation of technical drawings or work instructionsÂ
- Basic knowledge of MS Office programs, SAP, and time keeping applicationsÂ
- Must be detail orientatedÂ
- Stooping/Crouching. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Â
- Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.Â
- Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.Â
- Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Â
- Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of timeÂ
- Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work area to another.Â
- Pushing & PullingÂ
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.Â
- Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.Â
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Â
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.Â
- The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.Â
- The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.Â
- May require travel (air & ground) with short notice.Â
- Being able to wear required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as respirators, Tyvek suit, gloves, face shield, etc.Â
- Ability to cooperate and work with peopleÂ
