Buddy’s Home Furnishings is the third-largest Rent-to-Own (RTO) retailer in the U.S., offering furniture, appliances, electronics, and computers. With rapid national expansion through company-owned and franchise locations, we are building strong local leadership teams and looking for motivated professionals to grow with us.

We are seeking a Sales Manager to support daily store operations and drive sales performance. This role works closely with the General Manager and Credit Manager and serves as a key leader within the store.

Hourly pay: $16.00–$18.00

What You’ll Do

Drive sales growth by acquiring and retaining customers

Deliver a high level of customer service and resolve concerns quickly

Execute in-store sales and marketing initiatives

Meet or exceed sales, revenue, and performance goals

Prepare, review, and analyze daily and monthly store reports

Maintain accurate financial, inventory, and operational records

Manage inventory and cash assets

Create work schedules, assign tasks, and enforce company policies

Reconcile daily transactions and ensure operational accuracy

Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Position Details

In-person role at the assigned retail location

Must be at least 21 years of age

Requirements/Responsibilities

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 2 years of experience in Rent-to-Own, retail sales, or a customer-focused business environment

Proven selling and customer relationship management skills

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to learn and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system

Professional appearance and customer-first mindset

Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict effectively

Regular and reliable attendance, including nights and weekends as required

Driving & Insurance

Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

Ability to meet company insurability requirements

Comfortable navigating assigned delivery and service areas

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and move 50–300 pounds using a dolly

Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and standing

Ability to climb stairs while carrying merchandise

Extended periods of standing, driving, and working indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions
