Vehicle Service Representative

POSITION SUMMARY: Employee is responsible for the in and out processing of vehicles. They will conduct detailed vehicle inspections both interior and exterior while working with the Service Member. The VSR will be assigned tasks to support tasks of the administrative operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must follow all safety requirements in accordance with IAL policies
• Conduct pre-inspection of vehicles
• Conduct detailed joint inspection of vehicles to include interior and exterior on vehicle inspection form to include all safety equipment, identifying leaks and pre-existing damage
• Prepare property inventory in shipping box to include spare tire, jack, lug wrench, wheel locking device and floor mats
• Perform scanning, uploading, and filing to maintain accurate data files
• Operate a digital camera to record defects and damage on vehicle
• Places and maintains decals on vehicles
• Washes, vacuums, polish and clean interiors and exterior of vehicles
• Perform the above duties in accordance with the IAL Standard Operating Procedures
• Respond to routine request by phone, in person, or by correspondence to service member
• Maintains a clean work area to include inspection areas of vehicles
• Ability to mu lit-task with minimal supervision
• Other duties as assigned by Management

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be customer oriented and possess excellent interpersonal skills to relate to people
• Must have a valid state driver's license and ability to operate a standard transmission
• High school graduate or possess a GED
• Previous automotive experience is preferred
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
• Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Must be able to work in a drug free work environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform duties in inclement weather, lift to 40lbs, stand, bend, stoop, twist to complete car inspections to the lower part of vehicles

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work performed outdoors and at times in inclement weather. The company has reviewed this to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
