Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems DevSecOps Technical Discipline has an opening for a Sr. Staff Engineer Software who will be responsible for leading the overall DevOps secure software factory gold standard adoption, rollout, and updates for all east coast programs (shared with west coast). This role is located in Melbourne, FL .
In this role the candidate will be working with the latest technology to modernize software product production with DevSecOps - continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, continuous deployment, and continuous metrics on aerospace programs. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for the design, architecture, development, deployment, and operation of modern DevSecOps software factory. The candidate will work with multi-disciplinary teams, such as with Systems Engineering, Real-time & Embedded Software, Test Automation, and Systems Test in an Agile software development environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the adoption of software factory standard and deployment of software factory reference implementations on programs
- Lead the discussion, influence, and documentation of best practices, standard process, and standard tools into engineering authoritative source of truth for process and tools
- Lead the metrics automation and engineering review on programs
- Lead the training of users on DevSecOps lifecycle best practices - continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, and continuous deployment pipeline across programs
- Lead the standup of large-scale software factory used by software teams
- Lead the definition, design, and implementation all segments of DevSecOps lifecycle - continuous build, continuous integration, continuous test, continuous cyber, and continuous deployment pipeline on a program
- Planning and presenting short, medium, and long term fix for DevOps issues to programs and leadership aligning industry and program trends to solutions.

- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering to include a background in the agile development lifecycle, OR a Master's degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Software Engineering to include a background in agile development lifecycle, OR a Ph.D. AND 10 years of related professional experience in Software Engineering
- Experience with configuration of virtual machines (VMs) and virtual networks (VPC, NSX-T, NSX-V)
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Interim Secret clearance
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification with cloud technology (AWS, VMWare, Azure, Kubernetes) at the professional level
- Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Python, Swift) and software development lifecycle
- Experience with developing software using agile processes (Kanban, Scrum, Scrumban)
- Experience with one of the following change management tracking system tools: Jira, ClearQuest, Asana
- Experience with one of the following continues integration tools: Bamboo, Jenkins, Gitlab
- Experience with one of the following configuration management systems: GIT, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, Subversion
- Experience with one of the following continuous deployment systems: Octopus, ArgoCD, CodeStream, EletricFlow, AWS CodePipeline,
- Experience with one of the following metric tools: Tableau, JasperReport, Crystal Report, Talend, Alteryx, Power BI
- Experience in defining and implementing DevSecOps lifecycle - continuous (build, integration, test, deployment, cyber, monitoring)
- In depth knowledge of both commercial and DoD DevOps Initiatives, Reference Architecture, trends.
- Demonstrated mastery of DevOps of innovating or adapting commercial solution to aerospace application domain
- Experience with defining and designing metrics on programs
- Experience with defining and designing cloud solution
- Experience with defining and designing comprehensive cyber analysis regimen on program
- Experience with defining and designing roadmap for cyber remediation and cyber compliance on a program
- Experience with defining, implementing, and operation of cyber remediation and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Active Secret DoD Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
- Current Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
