QA Program Manager Job Description

Beast Code is seeking an experienced Program Manager (PM) with a technical background/skillset to lead and manage resources for our rapidly evolving Quality Assurance (QA) programs. As a Quality Assurance Program Manager, you will coordinate and oversee QA activities across multiple projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our deliverables meet strict quality standards. You will lead the Quality Program for the company by helping develop and implement QA processes, monitor outcomes, and drive continuous improvement while mentoring junior QA staff.

The PM will serve as the central point of contact between the QA programs and our software development projects. The QA PM ensures that program deliverables, requirements, schedules, and meeting plans are effectively communicated and coordinated across all parties involved.

The QA PM must have a working technical understanding of technologies related to our software production process in order to conduct and facilitate technical discussion and planning related to our products with internal and external stakeholders with or without additional analysts or engineers.

The QA PM will report to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure successful program execution across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate QA efforts across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to established quality standards and timelines.
  • Develop, document, and refine QA processes, test plans, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to define quality requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee the execution of functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Track, analyze, and report on quality metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
  • Manage defect reporting and resolution, working with teams to prioritize and address issues.
  • Lead, mentor and support junior QA team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Participate in process reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of QA methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 1 year in a lead or management role.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience.

Bonus points for:

  • Prior experience in a technical role such as Software Engineer, QA Analyst, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), etc.
  • Experience with one or more cloud systems (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)

Pay Bands:

Program Manager I: $67,500.00 - $85,800.00

Program Manager II: $85,900.00 - $107,100.00

Program Manager III: $106,500.00 - $129,500.00

Program Manager IV: $119,500.00 - $141,400.00

Program Manager V: $138,200.00 - $166,600.00

Program Manager I

Work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Typically requires 0 to 2 years of related experience.

Program Manager III

Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.

Program Manager III

Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.

Program Manager IV

Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role of the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Typically requires 7+ years of related experience.

Program Manager V

Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in this area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Typically requires 10+ years of related experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Due to the nature of our work, it is mandatory that you are a U.S. Citizen and able to comply with Government regulations.
  • Successfully complete background check and maintain a valid USA driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
  • Beast Code is a drug free work environment using mandatory pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing as per all applicable laws
