Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The following is just an outline, and does not limit other responsibilities from being added:

• Assume full responsibility for all HR departmental activities, including payroll processing, payroll invoice auditing, HRIS, Drug Testing, Classification/Compensation, Employment law, and best practices, Benefits, Workers’ Compensation, ACA, and Employee Relations.
• Help supervise employees as regards adherence to schedules, rules, and handbook policies.
• Administer and maintain benefit programs. Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws.
• Respond to and resolve difficult and sensitive employee issues and complaints in a timely manner.
• Provide proactive direction and guidance to managers/supervisors on managing interpersonal relationships, coaching, communications, career development, counseling, and/or disciplinary actions, communications and training, labor relations issues, and company policies and procedures.
• Provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline and termination procedures.
• Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews.
• Conduct recruitment for all exempt, nonexempt, and temporary workers while working with the department supervisors. Screen, interview, and help make final candidate selection; conduct reference checking; extend job offers; and conduct new employee orientations.
• Maintain and protect confidential data with the utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care.
• Develop organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction; establishing human resources objectives in line with organizational objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, PHR is a plus.
• Minimum 5+ years in HR experience.
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Strong oral and written communication and proven organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented and accurate. Able to problem-solve independently.
• Approachable and responsive resource, able to connect with employees at all levels.
• Enthusiastic team player who builds trusting relationships.
