Software Engineer

Description:

ENG- Lead full-stack software engineering efforts for a team delivering next-generation data analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities for an Air & Commercial Solutions turnkey program. Design scalable platforms, define APIs, and build responsive user interfaces using modern React-based frameworks while ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance across distributed systems. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, integrations, testing frameworks, and deployment strategies across cloud and air-gapped environments.

#Education & Job Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field and 6+ years of experience delivering full-stack software solutions on complex, data-intensive programs
*Experience with GitLab or similar version control systems, including repositories, merge requests, and CI/CD pipelines
*Strong understanding of software design patterns, automated testing, CI/CD workflows, and code quality practices
*Experience with relational databases, messaging systems, REST APIs, and object storage technologies
*Experience designing and implementing responsive user interfaces and dashboards using modern frontend frameworks
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

#Preferred Skills
*Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban in cross-functional environments
*Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Nexus, GitLab Runner, and Harbor
*Proficiency with React, Next.js, Node.js, Shadcn UI Kit, FastAPI, and modern frontend ecosystems
*Experience with Apache Superset and Trino for analytics and data querying
*Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python
*Experience with Kubernetes and cloud or air-gapped deployment environments
*Experience integrating email and SMS notification systems
*Experience with SCORM, xAPI, and CMI5 learning management standards

#Job Duties & Functions
*Design and implement scalable full-stack platforms for analytics and AI-driven development acceleration
*Define and maintain APIs exposing data and services to frontend and third-party consumers
*Develop responsive UI components and dashboards using modern React-based frameworks
*Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for automated testing, linting, and deployment
*Integrate third-party services, including messaging and learning management systems
*Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software reliability and prevent regressions
*Document APIs, data models, and deployment procedures to support cross-team collaboration
*Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, backup, archival, and disaster recovery strategies across platforms
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
*Leverage AI tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, testing, and architectural validation
