OPENING SOON! Cheeky's is a neighborhood seafood restaurant and oyster bar along St. Petersburg's Grand Central District. A mix between a salty Old Florida fish shack and a classic New England oyster bar, with a menu of classic American dishes and something for everyone.

We are excited to bring a fresh dining experience to the community, featuring a menu inspired by simple and classic American dishes, seasonal ingredients and bold flavors. Our restaurant is dedicated to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where guests can enjoy exceptional food and service.

Behind the bar we're shaking up classic drinks and serving frozen cocktails. Our wine list is full of small production and natural bottles. Light local beers on tap and a deep list of no & low alcohol drinks round out the menu. We're an easy-going spot with friendly service, good for the whole family. Grab a seat along our sidewalk patio for great people watching (dog-friendly too!) or in the dining room surrounding our horseshoe bar.

Schedule
Full-time, hourly position
Five days per week
Two consecutive days off
Rotating holidays
Flexibility for special events

Team Responsibilities
Teamwork is the essential element of your position at Cheeky's. Everyone is equally responsible for ensuring the experience of our guests is extraordinary. The words "no" and "it's not my job" are never to be used. There are no boundaries in these duties, in addition to the specific job responsibilities listed.

Dishwashers are critical to the overall team success, working to prepare items to be used for service. This is a great entry level position to sharpen your skills for a career in a professional kitchen.

The cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant is everyone's responsibility. Always check the floor, service stations, restrooms, etc. for debris and do not pass it by if you notice that something is needed. If you see something, say something!

JOB DETAILS

Our Dishwashers lead busy a station during, before, during and after service with a close eye on consistency and quality. You'll have a great relationship with your Sous Chef and Executive Chef, who will provide clear expectations and support to exceed in this role.

• Sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine
• Sorting and stacking clean dishes; carrying clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas; rewashing soiled dishes before delivering
• Changing dishwater in dish machine every hour
• Washing pots, pans, and trays by hand
• Removing trash and garbage and bringing it to the dumpster
• Setting up and breaking-down dishwashing area
• Filling/emptying soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
• Sweeping/mopping floors
• Assembling/disassembling dish machine

SKILLS

1+ year cook experience
Food safety certification
High-volume restaurant experience
Excellent communication abilities
Team-first mindset
Willingness to learn and grow

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping required to serve guests and perform side work.
Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds regularly, such as trays with food and beverages.
Ability to move quickly and efficiently between dining and kitchen areas.
Manual dexterity required for handling small items (e.g., glassware, silverware) and operating point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Work is performed in a fast-paced, indoor and outdoor environment that may include exposure to varying levels of noise and temperature changes.
