Inventory Manager ( {{city}})
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through ongoing data entry and reconciliation within the POS/ERP system (e.g., Business Central).
- Perform and lead scheduled physical inventories and spot case counts.
- Make inventory adjustments based on internal findings and vendor updates.
- Oversee all pricing, labeling, and product ticketing in alignment with brand and merchandising standards.
- Execute regular price updates and coordinate ticket changes.
- Monitor and report on inventory KPIs (e.g., inventory turn, shrinkage, aged inventory, memo vs owned mix).
- Monitor, triage, and process gold buys, estate pieces, and trade-ins; determine if items are to be kept or scrapped.
Receiving, Shipping, and Repairs:
- Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, including merchandise, repairs, and returns.
- Ensure merchandise is checked against purchase orders and recorded properly into the system.
- Work closely with the repair team to track items, log repair status, and manage communication with vendors and clients.
- Coordinate outgoing repairs and returns, ensuring accurate documentation, tracking, and timely follow-up.
Vendor Communication and Reconciliation:
- Manage and reconcile monthly vendor memo statements.
- Ensure prompt and accurate reporting to vendors on sold merchandise and returns.
- Track open memos and monitor aged memo inventory.
- Reconcile vendor invoices and credit memos; verify payment terms and resolve discrepancies with accounting and vendors.
- Update memo pricing as needed and maintain accurate product cost data.
Security and Compliance:
- Enforce internal protocols for the secure handling and storage of merchandise.
- Adhere to company and industry security policies regarding physical access, documentation, and transit of high-value items.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and inventory reports.
- Ensure compliance with insurance requirements regarding merchandise handling, transit limits, and storage.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Track and analyze key inventory metrics and develop reports to support purchasing, merchandising, and operational decisions.
- Work with leadership to ensure inventory KPIs meet company goals.
- Identify trends in aging inventory and support markdown or promotional strategies where appropriate.
Team Collaboration and Oversight:
- Supervise inventory assistants or support staff within the department.
- Provide training and guidance on inventory SOPs and system usage.
- Coordinate with sales, repair, e-commerce, and finance departments to ensure consistency and accuracy across all channels.
