The opportunity

As a Senior Manufacturing Software Engineer on our Factory testing team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing software systems, automation testers and tools.

Location: This position requires being fully on-site at our Plantation, FL facility to ensure seamless collaboration and hands-on support for daily operations. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement advanced manufacturing software systems and tools to support production efficiency and scalability.


• Ensure the security and protection of core intellectual property across all manufacturing software platforms.


• Integrate data systems seamlessly with other manufacturing and enterprise systems to enhance data flow and visibility.


• Leverage emerging technologies to design, automate, and optimize manufacturing test processes.


• Develop and maintain robust web services to support manufacturing operations and system connectivity.

The experience you bring

• 5+ years of combined professional experience in software development or related fields


• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field


• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and proficiency in scripting languages such as C#, Python, or C/C++.


• Hands-on experience with database systems, including Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.


• Proficient in the .NET development environment.


• Familiarity with common software design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.


• Development experience across both Windows and Linux operating systems.


• Solid understanding of communication, networking, and messaging protocols.


• Proven experience designing and supporting high-availability systems.


• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field


• Advanced, developer-level proficiency in the .NET environment.


• Experience with IoT systems and SECS/GEM communication standards is a plus.


• Background in high-volume, world-class design and manufacturing processes for consumer electronic products is highly desirable.


• Experience with image processing and computer vision technologies.


• Hands-on experience with industrial robotics, control systems, and systems integration.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. In addition to salary, Magic Leap offers a discretionary bonus and a fully comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.

US Base Salary Range

$120,000 - $140,000 USD
