We are looking for a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. In this position, you will play a vital role in managing patient billing, collections, and accounts receivable activities for various payor sources. This role requires a strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing, as well as proficiency in medical software systems and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient billing processes and ensure timely collections across all payor sources.

• Perform account follow-ups to address and resolve billing issues efficiently.

• Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing and payment arrangements while providing excellent customer service.

• Set up financial arrangements for patients as necessary to facilitate payment plans.

• Utilize effective collection techniques to maintain current accounts receivable and monitor delinquent payments.

• Handle Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing with accuracy and compliance.

• Operate electronic medical records systems and manage electronic claim submissions.

• Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and coding standards, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 CM codes.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for insurance billing and reimbursement.

• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve complex billing challenges.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare billing and collections.
• Proficiency in various billing software systems and Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with electronic claims processing and transmissions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing regulations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding standards, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 CM codes.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
