Job Title: Systems Admin
Location: Tallahassee, FL onsite
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification
Qualifications and Experience:Contractor personnel assigned to this agreement must meet the following minimum qualifications and demonstrate relevant experience:
- Proficient in scripting for the development, maintenance, enhancement, and reporting of server and client-based infrastructures, using PowerShell, SQL, Python, and Windows batch scripting.
- Skilled in supporting and configuring Windows Server environments, including installation, setup of feature roles, and ongoing system management.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing security best practices for operating systems, including hardening procedures, user access controls, group policy administration, application-level security, and network segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles and tools, including Kubernetes, Helm, and Ansible, utilizing languages such as YAML, JSON, and XML, and integrating these within automated deployment pipelines.
- Practical experience in managing end-user systems through Microsoft SCCM or Intune, including policy creation, system monitoring, and workstation lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with configuring and maintaining Linux and BSD server environments, including role-specific services and system tools.
- Experience in managing enterprise identity and access management systems, such as Active Directory (Entra ID), with proficiency in applying and troubleshooting group policies.
- Background in supporting cloud-native applications and environments, with an understanding of deployment, monitoring, and scaling practices.
- Solid understanding of core networking concepts, including protocols, subnetting, VLANs, routing tables, and network topologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a history of independently resolving complex technical issues and contributing to process improvements.
- Provide ongoing development and technical support for the WIC Data System and its integrated platforms, including EBT, Florida ACCESS, IBM Watson, and associated peripheral devices (e.g., scanners, card readers, messaging tools).
- Diagnose and resolve issues raised through service requests and development activities.
- Maintain system performance documentation, including records of interfaces, system maintenance, and resolution of operational errors.
- Recommend and implement operational improvements to enhance performance and efficiency. Participate in evaluations of new software, hardware, or technologies to support business needs.
- Analyze and document technical infrastructure requirements for planned system updates, enhancements, and corrections.
- Develop and present structured work plans for the implementation of infrastructure changes.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to system performance, evaluations, technology assessments, business and technical needs, and time/effort estimates.
- Create scripts to support system modifications, enhancements, and integrations in accordance with the Department's development standards and coding guidelines.
- Conduct script testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and document all results.
- Produce detailed system documentation for all code, configuration changes, and enhancements delivered.
