- High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
- 1 Reference Letter (this does not apply to current CCPS staff).
- Current Florida Educator Certification or Athletic Coaching Certification is required. NOTE: Coaches who hold current teaching certification do not need to obtain athletic coaching certification.
- Basic Life Support Program (First Aid, CPR and AED).
More information about Athletic Coaching Certification can be found at: The Florida Department of Education issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates: 1. 3-Year Temporary Certificate (Issued ONLY to give a coach the opportunity to complete the requirements for the 5-Year Certificate. It is NOT renewable.) 2. 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate WHO NEEDS IT?- Coaches who are paid a supplement from the school District but DO NOT hold a Temporary or Professional Educator Certificate.
- Volunteer Coaches who are employees of the Collier County Public Schools, but do not hold a Temporary or Professional Educator's Certification.
