Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Licensing Compliance Administrator to support licensing operations and ensure full compliance with state and local regulations. This role will work closely with internal teams and government agencies to manage licensing processes from application through approval.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage end-to-end licensing process for state, county, and city contractor/business licenses
• Prepare and submit licensing applications, renewals, and documentation
• Coordinate with government agencies to ensure timely approvals and compliance
• Interpret and monitor state/local regulations and licensing requirements
• Maintain accurate licensing records and documentation
• Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory authorities
• Support Operations and Legal teams with licensing-related activities
• Assist with vendor registrations and compliance requirements
• Coordinate bonds, insurance certificates, W9s, background checks, and related documentation
• Work with Accounts Payable for licensing fees and payment processing
• Troubleshoot licensing issues and provide compliance guidance to internal stakeholders
• Support special projects as needed
Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of combined education and/or relevant work experience
• Minimum 2+ years of licensing, compliance, or related experience
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and licensing processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate’s degree or certification in Paralegal Studies or related field
• Previous experience in a paralegal or legal support role
