CNC Manufacturing Machinist — Mills & Lathes

- Are you comfortable partnering with Engineering to validate a First Run and fine-tune programs?
- When parts drift, do you know how to adjust offsets and bring them back into spec?
What You’ll Tackle
- Interpret technical drawings and work instructions, then plan and execute accurate machining steps.
- Keep a general understanding of shop processes and how your work supports the flow.
- Perform routine Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to protect uptime.
- Collaborate on First Run and program validation activities to lock in stable production.
- Confirm fixtures meet quality standards before the first chip falls.
- Calculate and input machine control parameters: spindle position, cutting depth, speed, feed rate, and coolant flow.
- Adjust machine offsets to correct out-of-tolerance conditions.
- Operate both manual machines and CNC equipment as needed.

Baseline Qualifications
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of relevant experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication: Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, write simple correspondence, and communicate effectively one-on-one and in small groups.
- Math: Comfortable with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Problem-Solving: Apply practical judgment to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions and resolve routine problems with multiple variables.
- Computer: Basic proficiency with personal computers.
