Permitting Coordinator
The Permitting Coordinator reports directly to the Sr. Permitting Coordinator and works with them in coordinating the required permit submittals for projects with the Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Team Leaders. This role involves supporting permit research, preparing applications, performing submissions, and acting as HCE's liaison with permitting agencies. In addition, the Permitting Coordinator provides assistance to Team Leaders and Project Managers in the preparation of project proposals and additional services.
Responsibilities:
- Understand, are committed to, and communicate the Company Vision, Mission and Core Values.
- Propose quality improvement initiatives to improve production processes and procedures to Senior Leadership.
- Offer input, ideas, and concerns that will improve the quality of our work to Leadership.
- Inform the Team Leader or Project Manager of any deviation from the planned scope, schedule, or budget for an assigned task.
- Follow specified project communication procedures.
- Perform research on the required permits needed during the proposal phase.
- Assist Team Leaders and Project Managers in the preparation of proposals and add service requests.
- Coordinating pre-submittal meetings between the project team and the Permitting Agencies.
- Complete permit applications, compile required documentation, obtain signatures and permit fees, and submit to Permitting Agencies.
- Obtain the Permitting Agency's comments and prepare response letters to the comments with input from the project team.
- Track the progress of permits to ensure timely response on the issuance of permits.
- Compile plans and documentation needed for the project's final permit close-out/certification. Submit documentation to the required agencies and track progress. Notify the project team when the final certification has been issued.
- Assist with the research of deeds, plats, easements, plans, and other publicly available information on proposed and current projects.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a four-year bachelor’s degree program in a related field
- A minimum of four years of permitting experience.
- Must be self-motivated as well as thrive in a team environment.
- Ability to manage workflow while multitasking.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
