Flagler Station Steakhouse , part of the Whale Harbor Group Restaurants , is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team.

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain the highest culinary standards, and help lead a professional, high-performing kitchen. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for excellence.

• Assist the Executive Chef with all daily kitchen operations.
• Lead and supervise the culinary team while maintaining a positive, professional work environment.
• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Prepare and execute premium steaks, fresh seafood, sauces, and seasonal specials.
• Train, coach, and mentor line cooks and prep staff.
• Maintain sanitation, food safety, and HACCP standards.
• Assist with scheduling, inventory management, ordering, and food cost control.
• Monitor ticket times and ensure smooth kitchen execution during service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
• Step into the Executive Chef's role when needed.

• Minimum 3 years of Sous Chef or kitchen leadership experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Upscale steakhouse or fine dining experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic cooking techniques, premium proteins, and seafood.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with inventory, ordering, recipe consistency, and labor management.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining exceptional quality.
• ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
