SUMMARY - PART TIME SEASONAL
Responsible for the courteous, safe, and timely transportation of Team Members and other people and materials as needed within the Mountain Lake and surrounding community. This position must demonstrate strict adherence to schedules and transport-related legislation. Ultimately, an extraordinary shuttle bus driver will be able to diagnose and remedy basic mechanical issues that may arise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Collate and edit transport schedules based on passengers' needs.
- Arrive at collection points prior to departure times.
- Confirm that all passengers are present and record no-shows.
- Ensure adherence to passenger limits.
- Avoid high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible.
- Observe all relevant traffic and safety laws.
- Ensure that the shuttle vehicle is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
- Pick up and deliver passengers on-time.
- Check that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
- Record and report all major accidents and incidents to the manager.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other work-related duties and special projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL OF:
- Applicable transport and safety codes/regulations
- Proper and lawful driving technic and rules/laws of the road
- First Aid is preferred
- Basic working knowledge of passenger cars/trucks/vans
- Customer Service
ABILITY TO:
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Meet time schedules, deadlines, and plan and organize work
- Plan transportation routes
- Work confidently with discretion and independently with little direction
- Work cooperatively with others using tact, patience, and courtesy
- Maintain amicable and optimistic disposition
- Work flexible hours, days, nights, and weekends
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 25 years of age due to company insurance requirements
- Driving for a minimum of 5 years
- No driving infractions of any kind in the past 5 years
- Previous shuttle/bus/taxi driving experience preferred
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Must be able to sit for a prolonged period of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to stoop and kneel.
- Must have the visual acuity to see the road and adjacent areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member works in a vehicle traveling on roads and highways. In this environment:
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and cold/hot temperatures.
- Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment.
