Hematology/Oncology (Leukemia) Need in Downtown Orlando, Florida

Orlando Health Cancer Center is seeking hematologists with a special interest and experience in leukemia. The Cancer Institute is developing a new separate Leukemia service. The hematology division is well developed and is busy providing services in both classic and malignant hematology. Additionally, A well-developed bone marrow transplant section provides both autologous and allogenic transplants and cellular therapy, and has a large geographic draw. The cancer center had a strong, dynamic combined hematology and oncology fellowship program with a wide range of educational activities. Responsibilities of the selected candidate:
  • Responsible for the treatment of leukemia patients both inpatient and outpatient.
  • Work with the rest of the leukemia team to further develop the leukemia section in cooperation with the hematology and bone marrow transplant services.
  • Advance research activities related to leukemia.
  • Responsible for the education and training of the fellows and residents with structured rotation.
  • Academic appoints available at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and Florida State University (FSU) for eligible candidates
  • A very competitive contract will be provided for selected physicians

Through a robust research program, the institute also supports physician involvement in numerous research studies and clinical trials that gives patients access to innovative diagnosis, treatment and symptom management options.
