Service Manager

Gilbert Chevrolet is currently seeking an experienced Service Manager. What a great opportunity to advance your automotive career and run a fast-paced and growing automotive service department. We are a well established service department with a strong history of customer retention. Service Manager candidates MUST HAVE PREVIOUS AUTO SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE, Chevrolet/GM Experience preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Service Manager is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention, cost control, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all service records. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Liaison between customers and technicians, addressing complaints, and building customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention

Coordinating service schedules, managing workflow, and overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and timely vehicle service * Listen, thoroughly understand customer problem and set/manage expectations

• Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all service department staff
• Use leadership skills to budget, forecast, set objectives and anticipate the needs of the business

Maintains reporting systems required by general management * Manage repair orders and shop work flow * Ensure customer, warranty, and internal repair work is finished in a timely manner * Oversee warranty claims and receivable collection * Promote professional development and advance training opportunities for employees as well as cross-training, to expand employee’s knowledge and skills * Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership principles * Provides excellent customer service

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2-5 years of supervisory, leadership experience
• Proven track record of success
• Strong team leadership knowledge of processes and skill building
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional work ethic and high integrity
• Strong problem solving and follow up skills
