Operations Coordinator
Job Description
Job Description
Blueprint Electric is seeking an organized, proactive Operations Coordinator to support our growing team and help keep our field operations running efficiently.
This position is responsible for coordinating the daily schedule, communicating with customers and field crews, and ensuring jobs are fully prepared before crews arrive on site. You will support the Operations Manager by executing the day-to-day schedule and coordinating the many moving parts required to keep projects running smoothly.
No two days are the same. While scheduling and dispatch are the primary responsibilities, you will also assist with a variety of operational and administrative tasks that help keep the company running efficiently. As Blueprint Electric grows, this role will grow with the company and may expand into additional responsibilities.
Responsibilities

- Coordinate with customers, vendors, suppliers, and general contractors to keep projects moving.
- Maintain the company schedule by coordinating delays, inspections, weather, customer requests, and schedule changes.
- Dispatch service calls and maximize crew utilization.
- Ensure upcoming jobs are ready by verifying permits, materials, inspections, equipment, customer readiness, and missing project information.
- Communicate with customers regarding scheduling, updates, and project information.
- Maintain Buildertrend schedules and job documentation.
- Complete vendor packets, prequalification documents, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), project setup, and other project administrative tasks.
- Ensure materials are delivered and rental equipment as directed.
- Assist with project closeout, and general office support.
- Provide backup support for incoming phone calls and customer inquiries as needed.
- Assist ownership and the Operations Manager with special projects and other operational needs.
- Continuously look for ways to improve office and operational processes.
Authority
May:
- Schedule and reschedule permit-ready work.
- Dispatch service calls.
- Coordinate customer scheduling.
- Gather missing project information.
- Coordinate schedules with field crews.
- Maintain Buildertrend schedules and job information.
Must obtain approval before:
- Changing company priorities.
- Breaking customer commitments.
- Pulling crews from major projects.
- Reassigning manpower between major projects.
- Approving overtime.
- Making major scheduling decisions that significantly impact production.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, dispatch, scheduling, service coordination, or office administration preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Buildertrend experience is a plus but not required.
What Success Looks Like
- Crews arrive prepared and on schedule.
- Upcoming jobs are organized and ready before their start date.
- Customers receive timely communication.
- Schedule changes are handled efficiently.
- Operational issues are identified before they impact production.
- Administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- The Operations Manager spends more time leading operations and less time coordinating logistics.
If you're highly organized, enjoy solving problems, and want to grow with a fast-paced electrical contractor, we'd love to hear from you.
