Data Scientist GEOINT Operations (TS/SCI)

In the event of an analyst flagging a target, the Source Strategy Officer (SSO) builds the plan, nominations get entered into GEOINT Information Management Systems (GIMS), and hours, sometimes days pass before sensors are even pointed at the target. Your mission is to collapse that timeline. You’ll be embedded with analyst and SSOs, building operational-grade Python automation in JEMA that takes GEOINT tasking from discovery to collection in minutes, sometimes seconds. This is your chance to watch your code trigger live tasking, integrate with GEOINT, SIGINT, ELINT, and OSINT to deliver a complete picture while it’s still relevant. Requirements
  • You have a current active Top Secret / SCI clearance with CI poly
  • You have achieved a Master’s degree / Bachelor’s degree + 2 years / Associate’s degree + 3 years / 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced Python skills as you’ll be writing automation and AI tools that have to run in live ops without failing.
  • Expertise in JEMA as it’s NGA’s core GEOINT automation platform in order to start improving tasking workflows.
Nice to Have
  • Multi-INT background, understanding SIGINT, OSINT, ELINT, MASINT, HUMINT gives you advantage in building automation that works across multiple disciplines.
  • Experience with Brewlytics, ArcPro, or similar GEOINT tools to integrate automation into analyst’ current workflows.
  • Additional programming languages such as R, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, etc. for more flexibility in how you deliver and present results.
