Looking for line cooks to join the team at Gnarly Barley located in Ivanhoe Village! Night time availability is a MUST at this time.
Potential employees must be used to working in a fast paced environment, possess strong work ethics, be capable of effective communication, and able to work flexible hours. Previous work experience is highly preferred, and strong references required.
Responsibilities include:
- proper execution of all food safety practices & regulations
- following & prepare recipes from build books
- monitoring and ensuring food freshness and quality
- properly labeling, organizing, and storing food products
- managing inventory levels
- cleaning and sanitizing all stations, equipment, tools, and dishes before and after shifts
- working with other team members to ensure the execution of daily service
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Certified in food handling, typically via ServSafe
- Excellent organization, time & self-management skills
- Effective communication skills
- 2+ years of commercial cooking experience or technical or vocational culinary education
