The Director of International Recruitment & Admissions is responsible for driving student recruitment outcomes across assigned international markets. This role owns regional recruitment strategy, agent and partner management, lead conversion, and market development efforts, while representing the institution globally through in-person and virtual engagement.


The role is highly target-driven and externally facing, combining sales execution, relationship management, and data-informed recruitment strategy.


The Director works closely with internal admissions, marketing, academic leadership, and global partnerships teams to ensure consistent messaging, strong conversion outcomes, and sustainable enrollment growth.



Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Strategy & Market Growth

  • Develop and execute annual recruitment plans for assigned international regions and markets
  • Meet or exceed ambitious student recruitment and enrollment targets
  • Identify emerging markets, channels, and partnership opportunities
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional demand to inform strategy
  • Provide regular market intelligence and recommendations to senior leadership
Agent & Partner Management

  • Build, manage, and grow a high-performing network of international recruitment agents
  • Train and support agents to ensure accurate program knowledge and brand representation
  • Conduct agent performance reviews, monitor ROI, and enforce quality standards
  • Establish and maintain relationships with schools, pathway providers, government bodies, and sponsors, where applicable
Lead Management & Conversion

  • Manage prospective students through the full recruitment lifecycle, from inquiry through enrollment
  • Deliver high-touch customer service to students, families, counselors, and partners
  • Drive application and deposit conversion through proactive follow-up and targeted communication
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting using CRM systems
Events & Engagement

  • Represent the institution at international recruitment fairs, school visits, webinars, and partner meetings
  • Deliver presentations to students, parents, counselors, and external stakeholders
  • Support open days, offer-holder events, and recruitment campaigns
  • Develop and execute virtual recruitment strategies for global audiences
Data, Reporting & Compliance

  • Produce regular reports on recruitment performance, KPIs, pipeline health, and conversion metrics
  • Track recruitment spend and assess ROI in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Ensure recruitment activity aligns with institutional policies and regulatory requirements
  • Provide academic teams with insights on program demand and regional market trends
Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Admissions, Marketing, International Programs, and Academic leadership
  • Support development of region-specific marketing and recruitment materials
  • Ensure consistent, accurate representation of academic offerings and institutional brand
  • Participate in internal working groups and strategic planning meetings as needed
Travel & Flexibility

  • Travel internationally several weeks per year, depending on region and recruitment cycle
  • Work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones, events, and peak recruitment periods
Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience in international student recruitment, education sales, or a target-driven enrollment role
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding recruitment or sales targets
  • Experience managing agents, partners, or external stakeholders
  • Experience working with diverse international audiences
  • Strong presentation skills across in-person and virtual settings
  • Proficiency using CRM systems and digital recruitment tools
Preferred

  • Familiarity with visa, immigration, or international compliance processes
  • Experience with CRM and analytics platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Power BI
  • Background in marketing, conversion strategy, or campaign development
