The opportunity

As a Senior Accountant you will be based in Orlando and report to the Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards (local GAAP and IFRS) and other relevant regulations.

You will work independently while collaborating closely with Accounting Assistants, Accounting Manager as well as other internal departments to assist with audit preparation and internal controls compliance. You will play a crucial role when driving the strategic focus areas for accounting, including digitalization, process optimization and standardization.

The primary tasks

• Perform daily accounting tasks with a strong emphasis on cash management and reconciliation operations.


• Support monthly and year-end financial reporting for the Americas, including journal entries, reporting, and tax filings.


• Forecast expenditures and communicate weekly cash needs (excluding Accounts Payable) to Global Accounting for payroll and other operational costs.


• Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes and tools for enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.


• Work closely with the Americas Accounting Manager to ensure local GAAP and IFRS compliance for all entities in the region.


• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Credit Controller during vacation periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience in similar role.


• Solid understanding of GAAP.


• Comfortable working independently and in international environments.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge with Quantum Control software.


• Experience working with Accounts Payable.


• Been working with Zexpense.


• Experience with intercompany activity

Skills and Attributes

• Advance Excel skills.


• Experience working with Power BI and Power Query.


• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented.


• A good communicator and an ambitious team player.
