Accounts Payable & Purchasing Specialist
Location: Longwood, Florida
Pay: Starting at $16.00/hr. (More for relevant experience & education above what is required)
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent / Non-Exempt

We’re looking for a detail-loving, deadline-crushing Accounts Payable & Purchasing Specialist to keep our finances in perfect order and support our incredible programs.

What You’ll Do:

• Verify, process, and mail payments - aka make sure everyone gets paid on time.
• Log and deposit incoming checks weekly.
• Reconcile credit card activity - like a financial detective.
• Send monthly invoices to funders and track payments.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts (from office supplies to cell phones).
• Prepare annual tax forms and reports (1099-Misc, unclaimed & tangible property).
• Coordinate with auditors and keep monthly financial statements in tip-top shape.
• Tackle special projects and help drive our mission forward.

What You’ll Need:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience with AP, billing, collections, GL accounting and month end close processes.
• Minimum of 1 year's financial experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A team player who loves building positive relationships.
• Must pass Level 2 background screening and preemployment drug screen.
• Must have a valid Florida driver’s license, auto insurance & acceptable driving record.
