Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist on behalf of our client, a construction company. This role is a key part of the accounting team and provides broad financial support across payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment where responsibilities span multiple areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage payroll accurately and on a regular schedule
• Support accounts payable functions including invoice processing and vendor payments
• Assist with accounts receivable activities such as invoicing and payment tracking
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation
• Reconcile payroll, AP, and AR transactions as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Assist with general accounting tasks and special projects as required
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations

Requirements include:

Education:

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, or a related role
• Experience in a construction or similar industry is a plus
• Exposure to AP and AR processes preferred

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication skills

Certifications:

• Payroll or accounting certifications are a plus but not required

Knowledge:

• Understanding of payroll processes and basic accounting principles
• Familiarity with AP and AR workflows
• Knowledge of accounting systems and software preferred
