Workforce Planning Manager #1510
Our client seeks a highly capable and well-organized Workforce Planning Manager to join a fast-paced operations team. Sitting at the heart of the function, this role carries responsibility for managing the full spectrum of scheduling activity, making sure staffing levels stay aligned with demand, and lifting day-to-day efficiency across every department.

- Serve as the go-to contact for scheduling questions coming from both team members and managers
- Examine workforce trends, project future scheduling demand, and resolve shortfalls or clashes ahead of time
- Design, run, and progressively sharpen scheduling systems and processes so they keep pace with operational requirements
- Keep a close eye on attendance, leave requests, and shift changes, logging everything accurately in the scheduling system
- Organize and uphold staff rosters spanning multiple departments or locations, ensuring coverage holds firm at all hours
- Work hand in hand with department leaders to match scheduling against output targets, service expectations, and wider business priorities
- Spot openings for smarter ways of working and introduce changes that strengthen scheduling efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and develop scheduling team members through coaching, training, and ongoing feedback
- Maintain compliance with the labor rules, internal policies, and collective bargaining agreements that apply
- Compile scheduling reports and share clear findings and recommendations with senior leadership
Requirements
- Practical experience gained in a scheduling, workforce management, or operations supervisory position
- A degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related discipline, or comparable experience in lieu of formal qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving instincts, with the judgment to interpret information and act on it confidently
- Working knowledge of scheduling software and workforce management tools such as Kronos, UKG, When I Work, or equivalents
- A proven ability to balance shifting priorities and stay effective when the pace picks up and pressure mounts
- Polished communication and people skills, allowing you to connect productively with colleagues at all levels
- Comfortable working across the Microsoft Office Suite, with solid Excel skills for reporting and data analysis
- A meticulous eye for detail and a firm commitment to getting records and reports right
Benefits
Base Salary: $75,000 – $95,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
