Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role supports continuous manufacturing by minimizing downtime and proactively maintaining mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and automated systems

• Perform electrical troubleshooting on 3-phase systems, motors, sensors, VFDs, and control panels

• Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance per CMMS schedules

• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar); make minor edits as needed

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production issues in a timely manner

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and manuals

• Install, align, and modify equipment as required

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

• Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability

• Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred)

• Working knowledge of VFDs, motors, sensors, and industrial controls

• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding/fabrication is a plus

• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call as required

Preferred Skills

• PLC programming or advanced troubleshooting

• CMMS experience

• Food, packaging, automotive, or heavy manufacturing background

• Electrical certification or journeyman license

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to work in industrial environments with noise, heat, and moving machinery
