Operations Manager - Commercial HVAC (Tampa)
Direct hire opportunity in Tampa, FL. Managing a team of around 30 technicians. Someone with technical experience in large commercial work such as air cooled, and water cooled Chillers, along with cooling towers, boilers (both steam and hot water), pumps, rooftop units, large air handlers, etc would fit the search.
The Service Manager will oversee and manage daily operations within the service department, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and timely resolution of client service requests. Responsibilities will include supervising and supporting service technicians, maintaining customer satisfaction, developing service strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. The Service Manager will also collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and foster continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and coordinating staff
- Technical knowledge and expertise in mechanical systems, HVAC, and service operations
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, including managing client relationships
- Proficiency in scheduling, resource planning, and managing service workflows
- Ability to ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and technical guidelines
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the mechanical contracting or HVAC industry is a must
