Sr. Associate, Integration & Test Engineering
**Job Summary
**
The Sr. Associate Integration and Test Engineering will assist in executing multiple phases of assigned development or production programs. This is a hands-on role and is responsible for supporting the test efforts of laser range finders and laser designators from program inception through product lifecycle.
Communicates with contacts within and outside of own team which may include customers or vendors and is responsible for identifying, defining, communicating and addressing general issues typically encountered within job area or function.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
**
Under limited supervision, determine approaches to objectives demonstrating a complete understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, and practices.
Communicate with contacts within and outside of own team which may include customers or vendors and responsible for identifying, defining, communicate and addressing general issues typically encountered within job area or function.
Support verification activities including functional, environmental qualification, and environmental production tests.
Responsible for generating test documentation, including test requirement documents, test design documents, test plans and test procedures.
Support all phases of the system Life-Cycle- design, analysis, manufacturing, test verification / validity and delivery.
Identify, record, document and track issues through resolution.
Analyze test results, detect issues and track root causes in collaboration with the development team.
Support the root cause, troubleshooting and corrective action process.
Travel, as needed to support integration and test activities.
Position may require extended hours, as needed, to meet business objectives.
** REQUIRED CAPABILITIES
**
U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
Familiarity or experience with the design, manufacturing, or testing involved in the production of optical components for laser designators and range finders.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.)
Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications as well as working knowledge of general production systems/methods and lean manufacturing principles.
Experience with hardware and software requirements, testability, definition, block diagrams, interconnect diagrams and software & hardware integration
Experience with test beds and simulators
Experience with LabVIEW
Familiarity with automation and scripting languages
**EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
**
Associate’s degree and a minimum of 4 years or Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience with electronic analog and digital circuitry, and troubleshooting complex electronic systems
4+ years’ experience in an Integration & Test, reading and executing optical / laser system operating instructions, drawings, schematics, and specifications in a DoD manufacturing environment.
