We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide technology initiatives for a Florida State Government client. The selected consultant will be responsible for managing all phases of large-scale IT projects, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, risk management, budget oversight, and successful implementation of enterprise financial systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex IT projects, strong leadership skills, and experience working with financial systems such as FLAIR or similar enterprise financial platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for enterprise IT initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Manage project scope, timelines, costs, quality, risks, and communications.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and executive status reporting.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Manage project documentation and governance activities.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with organizational project management standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with development teams, business users, and third-party vendors.
• Provide project status reports to leadership and executive stakeholders.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale Information Technology projects.
• 7+ years of experience working with FLAIR or other Enterprise Financial Systems .
• Experience managing enterprise application implementations.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
• Strong experience in risk management, issue management, and change management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Florida PALM implementation or support.
• Knowledge of Florida Information Technology Project Management Standards.
• Experience with Micro Focus PPM .
• Experience using Smartsheet .
• Experience creating process documentation using Microsoft Visio .
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience working with government agencies.
• Experience working with software development teams replacing or modernizing legacy systems.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Mandatory Certification
