Field Line Boring Technician

As a Field Line Boring Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and restoring heavy equipment and truck frames, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet. Responsibilities

• Perform line boring on truck frames, heavy equipment, and grinders to restore OEM specifications.
• Set up and operate portable line boring machines both on-site and in the shop.
• Weld and machine worn or damaged bores as needed.
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect bore dimensions and alignment.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan machining and welding operations.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Collaborate with mechanics, welders, and supervisors to complete repair jobs efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in line boring and machining operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or stick) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with bore restoration, threading, and facing operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) is beneficial.
• Commitment to safety protocols and equipment maintenance.
